Delivery Coverage & Lead Times
Local Deliveries – Cornwall & Devon
Deliveries within Cornwall and Devon are typically arranged directly through our local transport partners. Lead times are often shorter, and delivery options may be more flexible depending on product type, quantity, and access.
For those in Cornwall and rural areas, we utilise small tipper lorries perfect for navigating narrow country lanes. Locally, the fleet also includes large tippers, small and large HIAB lorries, and flatbeds to accommodate a variety of load sizes and access needs.
UK-Wide Deliveries
For deliveries outside Cornwall and Devon, we use established pallet networks and specialist haulage providers to ensure secure nationwide coverage.
It’s important to note that lead times can vary and will always be confirmed at the point of order. For more information on your lead times for specific products, please see our dedicated page.
Types of Stone Delivery
Stone may be delivered in one of the following formats:
- Palletised (most common for paving and walling stone)
- Crated (typically for bespoke or delicate items)
- Bagged or loose (depending on product and quantity)
The delivery method will be confirmed before dispatch, and is dependent on your specific order.
How We Calculate Delivery Costs
Delivery costs vary depending on several factors, including:
- Delivery location (local vs UK-wide)
- Total order weight and volume
- Dimensions of the stone products
- Product type (paving, walling, bespoke items)
- Delivery method (palletised, bulk, or specialist haulage)
As a general guide:
- Smaller orders are typically delivered via pallet network
- Larger or heavier loads may require specialist haulage
Our team is always happy to help you establish the most economical and safest delivery option for your order.
Pallet Delivery – What You Need to Prepare
Most UK-wide deliveries are made via pallet network and are kerbside delivery only. Please ensure:
- Clear kerbside access for a large delivery vehicle
- No access restrictions (low bridges, narrow lanes, weight limits)
- A clean, dry, and flat surface for pallets to be placed
- Someone is available on site to receive the delivery
Pallet network vehicles are not able to carry goods beyond the kerbside or into restricted-access areas.
More information on palletised haulage can be found via our delivery partners.
Installation – Ready Delivery Requirements
To ensure your stone arrives in good condition and ready for installation:
- Pallets and crates should remain unopened until required
- Products should be stored on a stable, level surface
- Protect stone from excessive moisture or contamination prior to installation
Correct site preparation helps prevent damage and delays once materials arrive.
Delivery Tracking
For deliveries outside of Cornwall and Devon, order tracking is available through our pallet network partners. Tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
