For over sixty years, we've been quarrying and supplying high-quality Cornish granite and slate from Bodmin Moor. We're the only supplier of Caradon Cornish Granite, committed to sustainable practices, expert service, and preserving Cornish stone heritage.
With over 75 unique materials and finishes, we work with architects, designers, builders, and homeowners on projects from contemporary builds to heritage restoration. Our in-house geologist and experienced team ensure every piece meets exacting quality standards.

OUR STORY:
Small Company, Deep Heritage
We're a small, independently owned company with a heritage that stretches back to 1964. While our business was formed in 2020, our history traces back to the Lantoom Quarry Company, established as a partnership in 1964 and incorporated as Lantoom Ltd in 2002.
The company has been operated by different members of the Crocker family since the 1960s, and in 2023, quarry assets were transferred to Caradon Ltd as part of our succession planning. We specialize in rare Caradon Cornish Granite, Lantoom slate, and Devon stone—all sourced from historic Cornish quarries.

Stone from Historic Cornish Quarries
We operate from Lantoom Quarry in Dobwalls, working exclusively within existing historic reserves on Bodmin Moor. This approach allows us to supply rare Caradon Cornish Granite without the environmental impact of new quarrying operations.
Each quarry is managed according to environmental impact assessments and a Long Term Quarry Remediation Plan. Our goal is to responsibly source exceptional stone while ensuring every site will eventually be returned to a natural environment or sustainable use.

Dedicated to Sustainability
We recognise our role in the global struggle to reverse the effects of climate change. Natural stone is exceptionally durable, lasting for hundreds or even thousands of years, and requires low energy inputs compared to artificially made alternatives. Carefully managed stone extraction and production is sustainable and part of a low carbon future.
Our most ambitious goal is to become a carbon neutral business by 2030, in relation to Scope 1 and 2 emissions. Our Cornish Granite is taken from existing, historic reserves, and our products are made using 100% renewable energy and recycled meteoric and surface water.

In a contemporary take on agricultural design, the directive for the barns at Higher Dorsley was to craft a welcoming new residence suffused with light and openness. Internally, the structure seamlessly integrates with the client’s carefully curated collection of art and furniture, while externally, the materials and design honour the essence of local agricultural constructions typical of the enchanting Devon countryside.
